Will Amazon Kindle Fire 2 Launch in the UK?
At the moment, the only available Amazon Kindle Fire is the original version of the ground-breaking budget tablet released last year. There is a follow-up to this device due for a spring 2012 release, but a lot of British consumers are still asking whether this device would eventually be available in the UK.
Being that the original Kindle Fire hasn’t even been seen a UK launch yet, what are the chances of the upcoming Kindle Fire debuting across the pond?
Right now, there hasn’t been anything announced regarding a possible UK launch schedule. But demand in the UK for the Kindle Fire is indeed quite pronounced. While it is far from an Apple iPad in terms of features and complexity, that is, in fact, what makes it such a popular choice.
It’s an inexpensive, no-frills tablet that the average consumer can afford, and this is exactly why the device soared to number two in most tablet sales charts soon after its release.
Not much is known about the Amazon Kindle Fire 2, but one interesting tidbit is the fact that Foxconn will be working on the device. The Taiwanese manufacturer is best known as the company behind Apple’s new iPad, so something may possibly be brewing here. This could lead to a more advanced and powerful Kindle Fire 2, which could possibly make it even more of a threat against the new iPad.
Many analysts believe inexpensive or mini-tablets may take up more of the tablet market share in a few years’ time, so Foxconn working with Amazon does indeed have some exciting potential.
