Verizon May Be Launching LG Optimus LTE II Soon
The LG Optimus LTE II just might be released this week on Verizon, according to a new report. LG’s latest flagship device is expected to stack up quite well against phones such as the HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3, and may likely be available in stores as early as Friday, July 13.
Verizon has not yet confirmed July 13 as a release date, so it would be best to hold off the celebration until Big Red has made things official.
Even the name of the handset isn’t official yet – it is known as an Optimus LTE II internationally, but there is a chance Verizon may use a special name for the handset. Even LG has yet to supply any comment on the phone, which hasn’t been unveiled by either company. We’re talking rumors here, so if you’re hoping for a July 13 launch, don’t hold your breath.
The LG Optimus LTE II will be shipping with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and of course, will support 4G LTE connectivity. It will come with the 4G LTE-friendly Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, which is clocked at an impressive 1.5 GHz.
Display size is 4.7 inches for the 720p HD touchscreen. The device also comes with 16 GB onboard storage and 1 GB RAM. These specs are quite similar to those on the HTC One X or even the Galaxy S3, so you can be rest assured LG’s new Optimus smartphone will be a good one regardless of the release date.
