Verizon Galaxy S3 Online Delivery Date Moved to July 19
Would-be online buyers looking forward to getting a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 will have to wait it out another week or so. The online delivery date for the much-hyped Samsung flagship has officially been moved from the original date of July 11 to July 19.
An official reason for the delay was not given by Verizon, but it’s safe to assume that the overwhelming number of pre-orders is the main reason behind the shipping date being moved.
In short, not enough supply to meet the demand. This isn’t surprising, as the Galaxy S3 is, at the present, the most sought-after new smartphone in the market, and has finished first on countless sales rankings all over the world. Buyers, however, can still pop over to their nearest Verizon retailer in the coming days and purchase the handset in person. It’s a small inconvenience, but one worth the while, as the Galaxy S3 is an awesome smartphone by any measure.
For those not aware about the Verizon Galaxy S3’s specs, here are some of the most prominent ones – a 4.8-inch Super Amoled HD screen, a powerful dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 4G LTE connectivity and 2 GB RAM.
Unfortunately, the device will come with a locked bootloader, which may not sit well with the developers among us.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 pre-order period has been a hectic one indeed, not just for Verizon, but for other US carriers as well. If you come to think of it, July 19 isn’t too far away, but let’s hope we don’t get any more delays from Big Red after this date.
