Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Now Available on Vodafone UK

Another UK wireless operator joined the list of carriers in the United Kingdom offering Samsung’s newest high-end gadget, the Galaxy Note 2.

Officially launched Monday in the UK and last week in Korea, the Galaxy Note 2 phablet will slowly make its way across Europe and Asia before debuting in North America towards the end of October. In the UK, O2 and Three are the two other carriers that offer the Galaxy Note 2.

Unfortunately, pricing is a bit more prohibitive for Vodafone UK customers. Customers on both O2 and Three can get a Galaxy Note 2 free of charge on price plans starting at £41 and £34 respectively – that’s already quite high by UK standards.

On Vodafone, price plans start at £47 if you’re looking to get the Galaxy Note 2 without having to pay upfront. Though, this is one of the more expensive contracts out there, users would get 2 GB data allotment per month, unlimited calls and unlimited texts. The device costs £549.95 unsubsidized when purchased directly through Samsung in the UK.

The Galaxy Note 2 is the second version of Samsung’s Galaxy Note “phablet”, or combination smartphone and tablet. It has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, Samsung S Pen, quad-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a 3,100 mAh battery. The S Pen can be used, as usual, in conjunction with several apps and features on the Note 2.
