Google Nexus 7 32GB Variant To Be Priced At £200 in the UK
With Google heavily rumored to be phasing out its 16 GB Nexus 7 tablet in favor of a 32 GB variety, many have wondered how much such a device would cost once released. According to a leaked photo of a UK shelf tag, pricing information may already be out for customers located in the United Kingdom.
Android and Me published a scanned image of a shelf tag that shows that the 32 GB Nexus 7 will cost £199.99 in the UK, which is the same price the 16 GB version sells at across the pond.
Although, Google hasn’t even confirmed that a 32 GB version will soon be released, this bodes well for potential Nexus 7 buyers excited at the prospect of additional storage space for the higher-end version.
Earlier in the week, a Japanese buyer had apparently been sold a Nexus 7 with 32 GB despite his claim that he had requested the version with 16 GB storage.
As far as American pricing goes, it should stand to reason that the US version of the 32 GB Nexus 7 will also sell for $249.99, same price as the 16 GB edition. According to the leaked image from the UK, all the device’s other specifications should remain the same, though we hope there was a mistake as the slip had included an Ice Cream Sandwich logo instead of Jelly Bean.
As the text does say “Android 4.1 Jelly Bean”, this may have indeed been a careless error on the retailer’s part.
