Garnet Red Samsung Galaxy S3 Released in the UK

It’s not just North American buyers who would be able to capitalize on one of Samsung’s newer color options for the Galaxy S3. The Garnet Red Galaxy S3, once an AT&T exclusive, was recently rumored to be released by Canadian carrier Bell next week.

Buyers located in the UK, however, already have a chance to purchase the Garnet Red flavor. Expansys is reportedly offering the red Galaxy S3 with 16 GB internal memory for the relatively affordable price of £429.99 unlocked.

Garnet Red is just one of several new flavors available for customers who had probably held off on buying the Galaxy S3 because it came in only two varieties – Marble White and Pebble Blue. The other three new colors are Amber Brown, Titanium Gray and Sapphire Black.

There is also an extremely expensive Swarovski Crystal Edition available, as reported earlier this week. Unfortunately for UK-based buyers hoping to buy the device on contract, it looks like only a SIM-free version is available for the Garnet Red S3 on Expansys.

As usual, this new Galaxy S3 will come with the same specifications you probably know by now. That would include a quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, 1 GB RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.9-megapixel front camera, 2,100 mAh battery and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.

The device supports Bluetooth 4, NFC, Wi-Fi and comes with GPS and microSD support as well. An update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean should be out very soon for international owners.
