Black Samsung Galaxy S3 Scheduled to Hit UK Stores After iPhone 5 Release
The Samsung Galaxy S3, hot selling device as it may be, is a handset that can’t please anyone. Mainly, we’re referring to consumers who wouldn’t settle for anything other than a black cell phone. After this new flavor of the Galaxy S3 was briefly teased during those two glorious weeks when the London Olympics were in full swing, we’ve now got word on when the black Galaxy S3 will be available in UK stores.
Clove, one of the United Kingdom’s top gadget retailers, said late last week that this new variant would be out in their stores by October, which isn’t too long after the rumored international release date for the Apple iPhone 5.
The retailer added that only the 64 GB internal storage option is available as of now; they didn’t mention whether the 16 GB or 32 GB versions will be available too. And here’s another caveat regarding the new Galaxy S3 flavor – apparently, it will only be available for unsubsidized handsets.
If you’re the type who would like to use your handset for business purposes, this is a perfect arrangement, especially considering the additional 64 GB support via microSD. It will come with all the powerful specs and hot new features found on other Galaxy S3 flavors, such as the quad-core processor, 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display and S Voice.
The device will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is rumored to be rolling out soon. Other Galaxy S3 “flavors” or colors include Pebble Blue and Marble White, and for AT&T customers only, Garnet Red.
