Black Friday 2015 – The Best of PS4 Deals for U.S. and U.K. Buyers

Black Friday 2015 - The Best of PS4 Deals for U.S. and U.K. BuyersWhile we did focus on the Xbox One in a separate article on Black Friday 2015 deals, we wouldn’t let down fans of its rival console, the PlayStation 4. Like the Xbox One, the PS4 is roughly two years old now – in fact, we’re just a couple days removed from its second anniversary on store shelves. And while Black Friday deals were hard to come by in 2013 (naturally, as it was a new device), the same was true last fall. That was arguably a poor move on Sony’s part, given that the Xbox One dominated holiday sales last year, but at the moment, it appears as if the PS4 is still the console of choice for many gamers.

This Black Friday should be different for shoppers looking for discount deals on the PS4 and its games. As the console is now two years old, it’s no surprise to see it being part of more specials this holiday season, and we’re not merely talking about the “deals with a twist” that involve retailer gift cards, but no discount off the cash price. Join us now as we bring you some of the best Black Friday deals on the PS4, for U.S. and U.K. customers alike.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any a la carte deals on the PS4 just yet, but since we’ve got about a week and a half left before Black Friday, we should be seeing some cropping up soon from some of America and Britain’s top retailers. But if you’re looking for a PS4 bundle, retailers on both sides of the Atlantic have more than enough for you to choose from. In the U.S., Best Buy is offering the PS4 500GB Destiny: The Taken King Limited Edition Bundle for $399.99, while GameStop is selling the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Limited Edition PS4 1TB Bundle for $429.99. The latter bundle, however, is only available on pre-orders. You can also head over to Best Buy and get the PS4 500GB Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront bundle for $399.99 on pre-order. A similar Star Wars Battlefront bundle, which is almost the same save for this being a standard bundle, is available for pre-order at Amazon for $349.99.

In the U.K., you can get the Sony PlayStation 4 500GB with Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Watch Dogs for £293.99 via Amazon, or head over to Smyths and satisfy your sporting (and action game) urges with the PS4 500GB Uncharted Collection Bundle with a free copy of FIFA 16; that latter bundle costs slightly more at £299.99. A PS4 1TB console with Call of Duty Black Ops 3, Journey, and an extra Dualshock Controller costs £289.85 via ShopTo.

Looking for Black Friday game deals? FIFA 16 and NHL 16’s PS4 versions also cost $49.99, or $10 off, via Best Buy, just like they do for the Xbox One. That same price tag applies to Madden NFL 16, if you’re looking for an NFL-based game. Several titles, including Grand Theft Auto 5, are selling for as low as $25 at Walmart. And in a buy one-get one special-with-a-twist at Best Buy, you can buy Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, or Black Ops 3 at regular pricing, and get $25 off GTA 5, Halo 5: Guardians, or Forza 6. U.K. deals mainly feature older games, but GTA 5, which was released for PS4 much later than it was for PS3, does sell for £35.49 via Amazon’s U.K. site.
